Murau-Kreischberg region in winter

Welcome to your very own winter fairy tale in the Murau-Kreischberg region! The region is notable for its snow-capped mountains, frozen River Mur and valleys dusted with white.

The Kreischberg is great for carving and boarding, with 42 km of excellently prepared ski slopes. The 6-seater gondola lift and the new 10-seater gondola lift transport guests comfortably up the mountain. Once at the top, there are other lifts as well as the special Kreischberg Extras. These include: high-speed runs, permanent race tracks, tubing arena, as well as Yabba Dabba Doo Land and Dinowald for the little ones.

In addition, the Kreischberg offers a professionally-run fun park at an altitude of 1,900 m. Absolute heaven for the freestylers.

The Frauenalpe is an insider's tip for all those who are keen to do a winter holiday a little differently. Directly above the town of Murau, you will find 100 % natural snow and great routes for snowshoe hiking, ski touring or simply having a wander.

Besides skiing and snowboarding, winter offers plenty more to do. On cross-country ski trails, winter hiking trails, toboggan runs, ice skating rinks or on ski tours and snowshoe hikes, you can enjoy the wintry region of Murau-Kreischberg in perfect peace and serenity.
