Brewery of the Senses

As of now, Styria has one more delectable destination up its sleeve: a special interactive beer experience, the "Brewery of the Senses" has been set up at the Murau Brewery on Raffaltplatz.

Every sense will be set a-tingling in the world of Murau beer. A two-hour tour provides a vivid introduction into the beer-making process.

Among other attractions, visitors can expect audiovisual stations; a demonstration well that is unique in Austria and illustrates the importance of water; olfactory und auditory stations; and the chance to sample some Murau beer specialities at the end of the tour. Highlights of the Brewery of the Senses include the Schaubrauerei, a kind of miniature display brewery with an output of 10 HL, where new, creative beer varieties such as Pale Ale or Stout have been brewed since November.
