If you don't feel like planning your own hiking tours, you can go on one of the guided hikes in the Murau-Kreischberg region. These take place once a week in summer from June to September. Outdoor experts will show you the most beautiful places in the area.

The Murau-Kreischberg region offers everything for your hiking holiday with the whole family, from small mountain tours to walking trails that are suitable for prams and pushchairs. You can hike to the top of the Frauenalpe, explore the Kreischberg or take a leisurely stroll along the Frauenhain Trail. Younger hikers can enjoy discovering new things on the Detective Trail and Letters Rally in Murau and St. Georgen am Kreischberg.
Active hiking holidays
If you want to climb one mountain after the other during your hiking holiday, the Murau-Kreischberg region is the right place for you. Countless peak trails with huge ascents and descents await you. You can hike the Gstoder, the Kreischberg, the Frauenalpe, the Rosenkranzhöhe, the Kirbisch, the Goldachnock, the Prankerhöhe, the Schwarmbrunnhöhe and the Ackerlhöhe. If you complete the 8-summit hike you will be awarded the golden hiking boot pin by the region.
If you prefer to take things at a more leisurely pace, you can climb the Gstoder, the Kreischberg, the Frauenalpe and the Stolzalpe. For these four peaks you will be awarded the silver hiking boot pin.
Other trails that lead through the region include "From Glacier to Vine", a long-distance hiking trail, and the Hemma Pilgerweg, a pilgrimage route.
