Guided hiking trips

The Murau-Kreischberg region, embedded between the den Nockberge and the Niedere Tauern mountain ranges in Styria, offers a pristine natural surrounding as far as the eye can reach. Enjoy breathtaking views, the fresh mountain air, and the beautiful landscape! You can explore the region on foot on a variety of routes, along the River Mur or around the mountains in the surrounding area.

Don't want to plan your own hiking trip? No problem! You can join our organised guided hiking tours from May to September. Every  Thursday (except Kreischberg on Wednesdays) one of our professional mountain guides will take you to the most beautiful spots of the region. Between 5 and 20 people join every week to hike along alpine pastures and up to the local summits with stunning all-round views. Along the way, you will also find authentic and cosy mountain huts for your alpine break.

The guided hiking trips will cost between € 10.00 and € 20.00 per adult, depending on the tour, and there is a discount with the Murtal GuestCard available. For details on the dates please see below. Prior reservation is necessary!
