Hiking with the family
Conquer a summit with the whole family
In the Murau-Kreischberg region there are several mountains that you can visit even with young children. Have you ever been to the Frauenalpe or the Kreischberg? Your next family holiday is the perfect opportunity.
Experience the Frauenalpe with the whole family! You can travel to the Murauerhütte hut by car. From there you can reach the summit and the Apollonia Chapel in 1.5 hours, even with kids. The summit offers an unrestricted 360 degree view. Although the Frauenalpe lies at 1,997 m above sea level, this hike is suitable for all ages. There are places to get something to eat and drink at the Murauerhütte and the Alpengasthof Krische.
If you have a pram or pushchair with you, the Kreischberg is the perfect mountain for you. The gondola is a convenient way to reach the mountain station, from where there are suitable hikes for those with young children. The Dinowald and the Disc Golf Park with a 9-hole course are further highlights for the kids. If you get hungry along the way, there are a number of mountain huts.
