In Stadl an der Mur, visit the Gasthof Murtalerhof or the Gasthof-Pension Ortner for local specialities. The rustic snack hut Da Bräuhauser also offers home-grown produce.
The Gasthaus Winter in Bodendorf has been around since 1152, making it the oldest Gasthaus in Styria. It continues to serve Styrian delicacies today.
In St. Georgen am Kreischberg, traditional establishments offering plenty of seating and regional specialities await you in the form of the Dörflwirt at Ferienpark, the Seppenwirt and the Kreischberg Eck. You've also got the Ristorante Pizzeria Da Silvano and the steakhouse restaurant Pfiff, if you feel like trying something a bit different.
The Gasthof Schafferwirt in Kaindorf supplies first-rate dishes made from the finest produce.
Located directly in the town of Murau are: the Hotel Gasthof Lercher, offering traditional Murau inn culture; the Hotel Gasthof Rosenhof, which serves delicious fish specialities; and the restaurant Zum Brauhaus, dishing up regional and international cuisine.
Then there's the traditional Gasthof Weißes Dach; the down-to-earth Gasthaus Bärenwirt; the Pizzeria Platzhirsch, serving Italian dishes; and the Gasthof Eigidiwirt, where "stopping for a bite to eat becomes an experience", as they themselves say.
Up on the Frauenalpe, why not visit the Hotel Alpengasthof Krische and the Murauerhütte, which are brimming with traditional atmosphere and culinary delights.
