ST. GEORGEN   The Municipality St. Georgen ob Murau includes the places St. Georgen, St. Lorenzen, Lutzmannsdorf, Kaindorf and Bodendorf. St. Georgen offers various leisure activities as well as quietness for relaxing and recovery. The 18 hole golf-court Murau-Kreischberg is also made by regionally wood design. After a 15 minutes walk at St. Georgen you will reach the Cäcilia church, a little gothic jewel. The richly gothic timber ceiling is worth seeing made at the time 15th century and has beautiful frescos. Worth seeing is also the external wall with frescos from the 15th century (Meister v. Schöder). Worth mentioning is also the protestant pulpit in the church.  The present biggest cantilever wood bridge connects St. Georgen with St. Lorenzen and the construction is a master achievement of the Styrian wood constructions.
