Wood and Murau is connected closely for more than 100 years. Wood is typical for our culture and landscape, is an important economic factor and creates identity between people. The Styrian Timber Street presents, encourages and cultivates a matter of course since years.

The Styrian Timber Street was built up in the year 1999 and includes 24 municipalities of the district Murau. It connects all the historical and modern wooden objects of the region and shows with the help of 70 objects the variety of wood. Groups can experience the Timber Street with trips and special excursions.
